Painting In The Winter – Newport
The Rain Didn’t Stop Play. Newport

“Plagued by bad weather, we still delivered on time. Okay. Whilst time restraints weren’t on me, I did promise the customer ‘by the weekend’, so we worked the weekend. Painting in the winter rain.” Sterling Exterior House Painters always go the extra mile.

The Colour Consultant did a fantastic job, the house looks great, in keeping with the neighbourhood, reflects the customers’ taste and best of all? It won’t look dated any time soon. I can pass on her details.

Painting in the Winter Rain

We used Norglass Marine Clear Varnish on the woodwork, as recommended by Footscray Paintspot. Difficult to use, but I’m told, the best product for the job. Always worth asking advise. We’re the painters, the experts on product application. The experts on product knowledge are the guys at the paint shop.

We also used semi gloss on everything else, this provides a slippy surface that dust and moisture find hard to stay on. Gloss is even better, but maybe a little too refective for some people’s taste!

- Ceilings: Weathershield semi gloss – Hogs Bristle half
- Gate/Render/Fence: Weathershield semi gloss – Caveman

Now of course Sterling Painters & Decorators have our own Colour Consultants. But we do work with other Exterior Colour Consultants…and Interior Designers. Shush, don’t tell!

The value added by a Colour Consultants should never be underestimated. They will understand your tastes, the locality and then add that something special.

We’ve just started painting this house, and whilst it doesn’t look like this yet, it will. If it stops raining that is!

Thinking About Interior Painting In Kensington?

Just incase all you think we do is exterior painting, here’s proof that we can, and do, work inside. We are interior painting Kensington, house by house.

As you can see, the paint isn’t even dry yet! But most importantly, as you can see, we clean and tidy after ourselves. Yes we got the vacuum out and wiped down the surfaces. That’s what we do.

I daresay the client isn’t even home yet, but he’ll come back to a freshly painted home on a Friday evening and won’t have to do a thing. Not an iota.

Amazing Heritage Weatherboard House Painters Balaclava
Weatherboard House Painters Balaclava

It’s great for us to paint a heritage weatherboard houses and make them look really special. And as so, now we’re House Painters Balaclava, doing just that!

The owner took our advice and we painted the house entirely in Dulux Weathershield gloss. Because gloss forms a barrier that simply repells rain and dust, and so, the house is protected for longer.

Recommending the trim at the sides and back be painted in a lighter colour, rather than the traditional dark green, gave a better idea of space. And as so, made the house seem larger. See Sterling Exterior Painters for more details.

- Trim: Dulux Weathershield gloss Bronzed Green
