“Plagued by bad weather, we still delivered on time. Okay. Whilst time restraints weren’t on me, I did promise the customer ‘by the weekend’, so we worked the weekend. Painting in the winter rain.” Sterling Exterior House Painters always go the extra mile.

Painting in the Winter Rain

We used Norglass Marine Clear Varnish on the woodwork, as recommended by Footscray Paintspot. Difficult to use, but I’m told, the best product for the job. Always worth asking advise. We’re the painters, the experts on product application. The experts on product knowledge are the guys at the paint shop.

We also used semi gloss on everything else, this provides a slippy surface that dust and moisture find hard to stay on. Gloss is even better, but maybe a little too refective for some people’s taste!

Painting In The Rain. It’s raining, it’s pouring…

Painting in the Rain, When We Can. Newport

Well I think we’ve had about the worse week weather wise for painting outside! Painting in the rain, yuk!

Usually in winter, there will be a rainy day per week. We can work around this. We plan for this. Not a problem.

“This week we’ve had rain, hail, wind, it’s been cold and to top it off far too many dew points leaving everything sodden even when it hasn’t been raining.”

In winter we even factor in internal day jobs that we can do ad-hoc. But last week wasn’t that good either and we’ve used them all up.

Amazing Heritage Weatherboard House Painters Balaclava

It’s great for us to paint a heritage weatherboard houses and make them look really special. And as so, now we’re House Painters Balaclava, doing just that!

The owner took our advice and we painted the house entirely in Dulux Weathershield gloss. Because gloss forms a barrier that simply repells rain and dust, and so, the house is protected for longer.

Recommending the trim at the sides and back be painted in a lighter colour, rather than the traditional dark green, gave a better idea of space. And as so, made the house seem larger. See Sterling Exterior Painters for more details.

How did we get to the top of this house?

This very unique house had unique access problems too.

On the side of a hill, the area infront was muddy grass, and in some places only 2 metres of space. It would be foolish to consider ladders.
Cherry picker/Knuckle boom? Electricity wires in the way.
Scaffold, whilst expensive, was the only option in this case. Your House Painters Ascot Vale.
